On September 17th: Bob X will be at the yearly outdoor event of the Fall season!
I am speaking of the Cooper Young Festival located in the historic Cooper Young section in Memphis,Tn. Last September the Fest was a success!
This event has grown in popularity since it's inception in the early 1980's from it's humble beginnings as a small neighbor event with a street party featuring a few local bands to the current festival which features 3 stages and over 300 artist, vendors and craftsmen.
Always a fun event with a diverse crowd and nonstop live music from about 12 noon onward until closing at 7 pm. Bob X will have a large array of new work on display and for sale. The Bob X booth will be located in the usual spot on Young Ave. Space B 25 on the east end (towards the Fairgrounds) of Young Avenue.
THANKS to all who stopped by and checked out the new work along with some choice vintage pieces. as usual the work included paintings, sculpties, key rings, black and white original art and of course signed copies of the Fantagraphics Newave book. The Date of the event was Sept. 18th. Festival kicked off at 9 am. Music started around noon. We had GREAT weather and we hope to see you in 2011!
During the Summer on June 22 2010 the city of Memphis declared that day as "Art Day" in Memphis. A group of about 100 local artists and musicians gathered at City Hall to celebrate the arts.
Bob X was there with a small selection of paintings and sculpties on display. There were also dancers, singers, rappers, etc. The group effort was a great showing of the diverse arts and performers in the city.
The Mayor was in attendance and a good time was had by all.
I have provided some links to The Commercial Appeal site as well as Arts Memphis both of which were present and helping to promote the arts in Memphis.
YOU must see the latest additions to the color paintings AND black and white art sections:

A little about the Bob X site
Welcome one and all to the only TRUE BOB "X" presence ONLINE!
My intention in creating this site is to showcase the art of BOB "X" and XEX
GRAPHIX and to tell the story of how XEX GRAPHIX suddenly came into existence,
flourished, then just as suddenly,disappeared...or so it would seem.
This site isn't for everyone. All of the straights and squares, the uptight, closed
minded and easily offended are forewarned, XEX GRAPHIX and BOB "X" will give your mind
a kick in the teeth that may be harmful to your preconceived notions of the world, and
from which you may never fully recover! If you don't crave to see the wildest and weirdest of all "alternative" artist on the
face of this self-destuctive planet, then look away in disgust...But,for those that dare
to enter into this realm, you won't be able to look away! Go ahead, read the words, gaze upon
the forbidden images of a true outcast, outsider artist...the terrible BOB "X"!
Luckily we recently had some time to add content and improve the site. THAT means - stay tuned for more updates and content coming in the future , until then check out the May 17th and other updates in the
News and Projects section for lots of pics and info.
