MH: Nimrod just in from Texas, Fort worth that is... After getting pointed in the right direction grubwise by the fine folks at Shangri La, Sherman recommended Ellen's Bar B Que on S. Parkway, here in Memphis. We chowed and kicked back at Al's Harmonic Salon. While Sam snoozed, Zev and yours truly chatted about a upcoming Festival in the Netherlands.

MH: Zev - You have a new CD coming out soon?

ZA: "Yen for Noise" by Roughage (Zev Asher solo and collaborative works) it's on Scratch, it was originally going to be on Dove (Death of Vinyl).

MH: And "The Mighty Hunter / Lab 36b" by Nimrod just came out on Scratch as well and that is the second Nimrod CD?

ZA: Yeah "Grandson of Ham" Yoshimi (Boredoms Drummer) was on first CD.

MH: What's on the horizon?

ZA: After this tour we're going to record another CD. "The Mighter Hunter / Lab36b" is a picture disc and actually two ep's.

MH: You're playing Atlanta,GA on Memorial Day right?

ZA: Right - MH: Where to after that?

ZA: Two Days Off then Washington D.C., Norfolk,Virginia-Boston, Mass-Philidelphia-New York at the Knitting Factory Then we go into Canada, Montreal,Ottawa,Toronto- Detroit, Ann Arbor,MI- Cleveland, Ohio then Chicago,IL at Lounge AX with Jim O'rourke, K.K. Null then Mnpls,MN and then a couple of shows in Western Canada and ending in with an all ages show with Three Day Stubble in Vancouver,B.C..

MH: Who's on the new Roughage CD?

ZA: Masonna,Merzbow,K.K. Null,Mayuko Hino, Solmania,Dislocation,Yamamoto Seiichi(Boredoms), Nakajima Akifumi(Aube) of G.R.O.S.S. tapes (Roughage has two tapes out on GROSS ones called "Travel the Globe" and the other "Hard Pore Corn") Actually Akifumi mixed the whole thing at Studio Mecca (Akifumi's studio in Kyoto) and Shohei Iwasaki of Monde B ruits, Kosei Yamamoto (Sax - Well known Jazz improv musician in the Kansai area of Japan. Other people too...

MH: Any other projects? You Said you were going to Europe?

ZA: I'm in Flying Testicle and Bustmonsters.

MH: Flying Testicle is you (Zev Asher), Merzbow and Masonna and the CD titled "Space Desia" is on Charnel House?

ZA: Right, Bustmonsters is Masonna, Zev Asher,Merzbow (on drums) Solmania(guitar) and other noise luminaries and you recorded with these guys in Japan during live shows and remixed by Masami Akita the material in the studio.
